Job summary

Kisimul Group Limited seeks a Senior Learning Assistant to support autistic young people with complex learning needs in an integrated educational setting. The role involves coordinating remote learning programmes and advising tutors and leaders on learner progress and engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting autistic individuals is essential.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration with multi-disciplinary staff.

Responsibilities

• Observe pupils and use school systems to evaluate learning activities and provide feedback.
• Assist with designing and delivering programmes devised by a multi-disciplinary team.
• Provide small group or classroom cover for assigned pupils.
• Mentor and support new staff with induction and competencies development.
• Support pupils with behaviour management as per plans and processes.
• Help pupils develop communication skills.
• Take on essential support tasks (medication, first aid, inductions, rotas, lunchtime coordination).
• Complete documentation and reports within set timeframes and coach staff to develop knowledge and skills.
