Job summary

Shelley College seeks a proven leader to join the Senior Leadership Team as a Vice Principal/Deputy Principal. You will drive safeguarding, behaviour, attendance and academic outcomes across the Academy, and deputise for the Principal when required.

You will lead a team of pastoral leaders, secure high standards, and contribute to strategic aims and values within the Multi-Academy trust. An outstanding track record in pastoral policies is essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience as an established leader at a significant level (e.g., Assistant Headteacher).
• Pastoral leadership experience with strong behaviour and safeguarding policies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop pastoral leaders to secure safeguarding, behaviour, attendance and academic outcomes.
• Support the Principal and governors in achieving academy aims and values.
• Deputise for the Principal when required and contribute to senior leadership decisions.
• Oversee safeguarding, attendance and behaviour across the academy and in lessons.
• Collaborate with external partners to promote positive attitudes and regulations.
