Job summary

Exeter College in Barnstaple is seeking a Deputy Head of Faculty for Inclusion, Work and Independence. Working with the Head of Faculty, you’ll drive teaching quality and recruitment; deputise when required.

You’ll lead on safeguarding and inclusion; you’ll showcase services at transition days and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure learner success. The role offers permanent, full-time 37 hours per week.

Qualifications

• A passion for delivering outstanding teaching, learning and student success.
• Experience of curriculum, team or faculty leadership.
• A recognised teaching qualification and relevant Level 3 qualification or above.
• A strong track record of delivering excellent teaching and supporting student achievement.
• Experience of quality improvement, performance management and data analysis.
• Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Drive teaching quality, staff development and recruitment activities, and deputise for the Head of Faculty as required.
• Showcase our service at taster and transition days.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure learners succeed in their studies.
