Job Description:

Join a high-performance agile team building industry-changing, world-class IAM technology products.

As a Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Technology Office you will contribute to a high-performance agile team designing and delivering trusted, market-leading distributed technology products in a secure, reliable, and scalable way.

The Identity Governance engineeringteam has established a world-leading position in patented next-generation policy-driven access management. Integration projects are complex and involve collaboration across multiple teams on different time schedules.

We’re looking for passionate engineers with broad exposure to multiple technologies, driven by the desire to learn, to understand, to invent, and to push boundaries.

We use scaled agile methodologies in our development practices. We believe that great software is developed through ongoing, thoughtful conversations about delivery against actual business and regulatory requirements, within a high-level framework which establishes a sound semantic model and long-lived APIs.

We work in a technically diverse ecosystem using a mixture of vendor products, open-source products, and custom in-house solutions. We define policy across information models expressed in RDF and UML, retrieve data via Graph and REST APIs, and deploy a reusable component across multiple points in the application flow, in both containerized and non-containerized patterns. We combine it all through a managed services layer.

Job responsibilities

  • Contributes to collaborative team culture of mutual respect and active leadership, and corresponding followership, from every member.
  • Produces high-quality architecture and design artifacts for complex, distributed applications. Is accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software developed.
  • Gathers and analyses requirements, and develops visualizations and reports over large, diverse data sets across distributed systems, in service of continuous system improvement.
  • Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture.
  • Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies.
  • Defines roadmaps to sequence delivery of product capabilities aligned to specific short-term use cases and requirements.

  • Partners closely with colleagues through pairing and code reviews
