As a Senior Lead Cloud Platform Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Chief Data and Analytics Office, you'll be a key player in our agile team. We work together to enhance, build, and deliver top-notch technology products securely and efficiently. Your expertise and problem-solving skills will be crucial in promoting business impact and tackling a diverse array of technical challenges. This role offers the opportunity to apply and grow your skills in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance and support to the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
  • Develop secure, high-quality production code, review, and debug code written by others.
  • Drive decisions influencing product design, application functionality, and technical operations.
  • Lead the design and development of cloud infrastructure offerings and platform tools, ensuring security, scalability, and reliability. Serve as a subject matter expert and provide technical leadership to the cloud engineering team.
  • Contribute to the engineering community by advocating firmwide frameworks, tools, and SDLC best practices.
  • Influence peers and decision-makers to adopt and apply leading-edge technologies.
  • Foster a team culture of equity, respect, and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with development teams to deliver high-quality, secure, and scalable cloud applications.
  • Identify areas for improvement and prioritize initiatives aligned with business goals.
  • Stay updated with the latest cloud technology advancements and recommend new tools and technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards for cloud environments.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering and 5+ years of applicable experience.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Advanced knowledge of containerization and orchestration platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS.
  • Experience with infrastructure provisioning tools like Terraform, Pulumi, Crossplane, or CloudFormation.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Golang, Python, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Experience with logging and monitoring tools like Splunk, Grafana, or Prometheus.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security best practices, shift-left methodologies, and DevSecOps processes.
  • Deep knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, AI, ML, mobile).
  • Ability to independently solve design and functionality problems.
  • Educational background in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields.

Additional Qualifications

  • Experience with multi-cloud architectures.
  • Certifications in relevant areas such as Cloud, Kubernetes, or Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
