Senior Lead Software Engineer - MySQL Database Product

Job Description

As a Software Engineer, you will play a vital role in designing and developing our modern private cloud MySQL offerings. You will leverage your experience to enhance our technical capabilities, improve our SDLC processes, and create new solutions for our clients. Collaboration across all cloud product teams is essential.

Job Responsibilities

• Review and elaborate stakeholder requirements, collaborating with Product Owners to shape product direction while balancing technical feasibility and user needs.
• Implement solutions focusing on both functional and non-functional requirements.
• Design reusable code, leverage architecture/framework capabilities, and develop reliable, scalable solutions that meet business service levels.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure quality and testability.
• Apply Agile practices such as Pair Programming, Continuous Integration, and Test Driven Development.
• Document technical designs and code.
• Provide production support and Level 3 troubleshooting through analysis and problem-solving.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Extensive experience in Python development.
• Strong understanding of security protocols and authentication mechanisms (e.g., OIDC, OAuth).
• Proficiency in algorithms and data structures.
• Knowledge of Unix Shell scripting and SQL.
• Expertise in software design, particularly hexagonal architecture and Domain-Driven Design.
• Experience designing and developing REST APIs.
• Familiarity with build automation, TDD, CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working with Relational Databases, preferably MySQL.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
• Experience managing large-scale application and system configurations (thousands of nodes).
• Knowledge of TypeScript and React.
• Experience with Docker and Ansible is advantageous.
