Job Title: Senior Lead Rolling Stock Commercial Manager x 3 - Pontypridd, South Wales

Salary:

Up to £75,000 depending on experience

Role Responsibilities:
  1. Work within the Rolling Stock area of the Commercial Directorate, managing multiple commercial projects/contracts, ensuring delivery within time and cost parameters in accordance with contractual terms and TfW governance.
  2. Lead a Commercial Team, providing technical expertise, monitoring and implementing TfW Commercial policies, and ensuring successful contract management.
  3. Oversee cost reporting, including forecasting and analysis, to ensure projects stay within budget and provide value for the public.
  4. Develop and lead a team of Commercial Professionals, enhancing their skills and knowledge.
  5. Manage commercial aspects of projects, raising issues and risks, and acting as a point of escalation to ensure contractual compliance and policy adherence.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Degree in Commercial Management, Engineering, or a relevant field.
  • Experience in delivering rolling stock projects or fleet operations at a strategic level.
  • Knowledge of the UK rolling stock market, manufacturers, ROSCOs, and railway contracts.
  • Experience managing budgets, planning, and multi-disciplinary projects.
Additional Skills:

Proficiency in Welsh is a plus but not essential. Support for Welsh language development is provided.
