Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer to join the Credit data pond team within Wholesale credit risk technology. You will guide agile teams, drive secure production code, and implement AI-assisted engineering practices at scale to improve delivery, quality, and risk management.

The role requires deep programming expertise, cloud-native experience, and the ability to establish enterprise governance for AI-enabled development across multiple teams.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering with hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced experience in one or more programming languages.
• Experience establishing a scalable operating model for enterprise AI-assisted development with governance.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical guidance to the business and technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Develops secure, high-quality production code and reviews peers' code.
• Drives adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices with measurable standards and automated testing.
• Establishes enterprise-wide AI governance, guardrails, and auditability across teams.
• Defines secure AI input/output handling, testing thresholds, and release readiness criteria.
• Applies SDLC toolchain knowledge to improve automation and value at scale.
• Sets enterprise toolchain strategy and target-state architecture across planning, source control, build, test, security, deployment, and observability.
• Establishes automation-at-scale governance to accelerate delivery while maintaining security and resiliency.
• Influences product design and technical operations decisions.
• Serves as a function-wide SME in one or more focus areas.
• Contributes to engineering community by advocating firmwide SDLC frameworks and practices.
