We’re supporting a world-leader in blockchain media and market analytics. With 500+ employees across the group, recent acquisitions have created a bunch of new projects, creating a need to expand their platform infrastructure team in Central London. They’ve just moved into a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility in Oxford Circus, and are now looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join them.

Please note - this role requires a minimum of 3 days a week on-site.

What will you do?

The role focuses on building systems that process & deliver high-throughput cryptocurrency market data. It handles thousands of messages a second via multiple external APIs, meaning that scalability and reliability is key. You’d work closely with data and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and efficient workflows, as well as mentoring others within your department, advocating for best-practice and a test-driven approach to development (unit, integration, e2e etc.).

What expertise will you need?

• Commercial experience with Go, preferably on high-throughput systems.
• Experience designing and implementing scalable solutions to handle high-throughput systems, including WebSocket APIs and services.
• Understanding of stream/queue based messaging systems.
• TDD driven with Dev(Sec)Ops comfortability.
• Strengths in algorithms & API development.
• Proficient with Redis, PostgreSQL or similar relational/non-relational database architectures.
• Knowledge, professional experience or interest in crypto/blockchain/financial markets.
