We are hiring a FP&A Accountant to join a global broking finance team based at their City of London head office. This role offers an opportunity to enhance financial reporting, forecasting, and commercial insights. Initially office-based.

Requirements:

  • Professional finance qualification (CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or management reporting
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Experience working with large datasets and multiple source systems
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work with non-financial stakeholders

Preferred experience includes working within trading, brokerage, or market-driven businesses such as shipping, commodities, or financial services. Familiarity with Workday, integrating financial and operational data, and setting up forecasting frameworks from scratch is highly valued.

This hands-on role aims to improve and professionalize the FP&A function, including introducing structured forecasting and leveraging data for better business insights. You will work closely with the CFO of Global Broking within a small, impactful team. Technical skills in Power BI and Excel, combined with a commercial mindset, are essential.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reporting and Insight: Building reporting tools combining ERP data, billing systems, and broking platforms; automating reports with Power BI; analyzing business drivers and trends.
  • Forecasting and Planning: Designing forecasting frameworks; supporting budgeting and reforecasting; developing models for future performance visibility.
  • Business Partnering: Building relationships with MDs and analysts; advising on financial and commercial decisions; collaborating with market analysts.
  • Systems and Process Improvement: Leveraging Workday and other tools; supporting finance transformation and data governance; improving financial processes.
  • Strategic Projects and Expansion: Supporting M&A and new business initiatives; evaluating regional growth, restructuring, or system upgrades.
