Senior/Lead Estimator

We have an exciting opportunity to work with a main contractor in the Rail/Water sector as a Senior Estimator on a permanent basis. As the Senior Estimator, you will lead estimates for civil engineering works and collaborate with the tender teams.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead a team of estimators for larger tenders, monitoring and developing junior estimators
2. Identify opportunity and risk during the tender process
3. Present basis of estimate and key assumptions
4. Prepare handovers to site teams at contract award
5. Develop a tender win strategy alongside the business unit teams
6. Liase with the business unit, Bid Manager, and Planner to agree methodology and principles

What do we need from you?

1. Experience in water and civils sectors
2. Proven track record working on tenders ranging up to £50 million
3. Chartered, incorporated status or similar
4. Ability to ensure all tender submissions are both feasible and profitable
5. Confidence in dealing with customers and personnel at a senior level

The salary is indicative and based on experience.
