Job summary

Enfield Council invites applications for a Lead Child Protection Practitioner within the new Multi-Agency Child Protection Team (MACPT). The post demands extensive safeguarding experience and the ability to work with education, police, and health colleagues to ensure timely, effective child protection decisions.

You will lead practice, attend MACPT meetings, and help develop safeguarding standards across services, with a focus on improving outcomes for vulnerable children and families.

Qualifications

• Significant experience of working to protect children at risk, in home or external settings.
• Experience working with education, police and health partners to deliver MACPT aims.
• Ability to lead child protection processes and safeguard decisions.
• Experience attending MACPT operational meetings and reviews.

Responsibilities

• Lead MACPT as Lead Child Protection Practitioner and deliver the MACPT operating protocol.
• Attend MACPT operational meetings and contribute to planning/reviews.
• Demonstrate robust decision-making to prevent and stop harm to children.
• Engage children and families during safeguarding processes and enquiries.
