Job Title: Senior / Lead BMS Engineer

Job Description:

Our client is an independent and privately owned company that is a leading provider of intelligent building control system solutions.

Due to company growth, they are seeking a bright, proactive, and enthusiastic Senior BMS Engineer to join their projects department. The role is primarily based in London, with options for remote work and regular site visits to coordinate and meet with customers.

Responsibilities:

1. Engineer and design projects in accordance with issued project information.
2. Ensure designs align with project specifications.
3. Schedule all works in line with the contract program.
4. Maintain required profit margins on projects.
5. Adhere to the company's safety policies.
6. Coordinate the collation of electrical installation and commissioning files.
7. Report any shortfalls in project costing to the department head.
8. Prepare and raise monthly applications and final accounts.
9. Attend site meetings and liaise with clients to agree on contractual points.
10. Coordinate site works with commissioning and electrical teams.
11. Conduct risk assessments and prepare method statements.
12. Generate descriptions of operation for inclusion in manuals.
13. Procure control devices and issue orders for specialist devices.
14. Arrange delivery of controls and panels according to the work schedule.
15. Raise subcontract orders when necessary.
16. Check invoices for accuracy and appropriate discounts.
17. Coordinate with the Graphics and Software departments for BMS graphics and software generation.
18. Utilize personal experience to assist colleagues with problems.
19. If experienced, carry out software writing when system capacity allows.
20. Attend handover meetings with clients as required.
21. Coordinate the completion of snagging reports.
22. Assist in training and developing other engineers.

Candidate Specification:

1. Previous experience in a BMS (Building Management System) role is mandatory; project management experience is desirable but not essential.
2. Experience with Trend, Siemens, Schneider, or Tridium BMS systems.
3. Strong controls background is required.
4. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction at all levels.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
