Job description

In this role, you will work closely with the product team to build the core digital infrastructure for a next-generation energy company. You will leverage your experience to engineer top-tier backend infrastructure.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Constructing a real-time digital twin of renewable generation and customer demand
2. Developing messaging interfaces with third-party providers
3. Building high-volume data pipelines for processing customer energy consumption
4. Developing the backend of a world-class energy application

Minimum qualifications include:

• Proven excellence as a Software Engineer
• Ideally 2+ years of experience
• Ability to define and build complex systems
• Backend development experience
• Hands-on experience operating highly available production systems
• Proficiency in Python
• Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools
• Strong problem-solving skills and clear communication

Preferred additional skills:

• RedHat and InfoSec expertise
• Experience in front-end or app development
• Experience in the energy sector
• Experience shipping consumer-facing products
