Senior Lawyer & Team Leader - Contracts & Conveyancing (Hybrid) needed in Oxford, £50 - £60ph PAYE - Reference: 452122

We are seeking a lawyer with experience in local government, particularly in contracts and procurement law.

The candidate should have experience managing a small team (approx. 6 people).

Desirable experience includes construction contracts and conveyancing.

This role requires regular attendance at the office 1-2 days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide high-quality, proactive legal advice across the organization.
2. Maintain professional and technical knowledge to serve as an authoritative legal support source.
3. Manage and supervise team members as applicable.
4. Review and approve decision reports, ensuring best practice in decision-making processes.
5. Collaborate with internal clients to develop their knowledge, skills, and processes, fostering continuous improvement.
6. Represent the client in court, inquiries, tribunals, or act as arbitrator or adjudicator as required.
