Job summary

Gambling Commission in Birmingham is seeking 2 Senior Lawyers to provide practical, solution-focused advice across complex and high-profile matters. Working with colleagues across the organisation, you will support regulatory and criminal objectives to help ensure gambling is fair, safe and crime-free.

As a Senior Lawyer, you will lead the Commission’s most complex legal matters, advise on strategy, oversee delivery of high-quality outputs, and mentor junior lawyers within a busy Legal team.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor with current practising certificate or CILEX Fellow in criminal litigation.
• Minimum five years’ PQE or equivalent.
• Significant senior-level experience in public law and regulatory matters, including criminal prosecutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead regulatory, criminal prosecutions, and public law matters.
• Advise on legal strategy, policy development and regulatory decisions.
• Mentor lawyers and ensure high-quality legal outputs.
