The Role

Kyndryl is seeking a dynamic, highly skilled Senior Lawyer to join our UKI Legal team. In this key role, you will act as a trusted advisor to business leaders on high-value IT outsourcing , cybersecurity, commercial contracts, and regulatory matters—supporting not only the UK and Ireland market, but also collaborating cross-border, particularly across Europe and the US.

You will lead the legal support on complex outsourcing deals, infrastructure services, and commercial disputes. This role requires both strategic thinking and hands-on execution , as you'll be working closely with senior stakeholders, supporting critical negotiations, drafting complex agreements, resolving disputes, and advising on compliance and governance topics.

You will report to a senior legal leader within Kyndryl and work autonomously while contributing as a core member of a collaborative, high-performing legal function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead contract negotiation, drafting, and legal advisory for complex IT outsourcing and services agreements

  • Provide legal support on dispute resolution , escalations, and commercial conflict management

  • Advise on GDPR, cybersecurity, intellectual property, data protection , and other regulatory topics

  • Support cross-functional teams with corporate legal advice , contract reviews, and internal governance

  • Collaborate on cross-border transactions , particularly within the EU and US regions

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to balance commercial opportunity and legal risk

  • Contribute to team mentoring and internal legal knowledge sharing

  • Operate as a key player in a small but highly effective legal team, with high visibility and impact

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Qualified solicitor, admitted to practice in England and Wales , with a minimum of 5 years PQE (required)

  • Proven experience in IT outsourcing , commercial contracts, and corporate legal matters

  • Strong background in both law firm and in-house environments , ideally within multinational or blue-chip technology organisations

  • Hands-on experience negotiating GDPR provisions and data privacy terms in complex agreements

  • Familiarity with dispute resolution , intellectual property , and licensing frameworks

  • Ability to advise on cybersecurity clauses and incident-related provisions in contracts

  • Excellent communication skills and comfort engaging with C-level stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to regulatory areas such as FCPA, competition law, and export/import controls

  • Experience supporting public sector or regulated industry clients

  • Background working in cross-border legal environments (Europe and/or US)

  • Leadership or mentoring experience within legal or cross-functional teams
