Job summary

Brunning & Price Limited is seeking a senior Laravel developer to join a hands-on team responsible for our in-house Laravel applications and REST APIs. You will own release management, influence how we manage changes and enforce secure coding practices across our products.

Based near Chester, you’ll work in a hybrid setup 2–3 days per week from our Chester head office, collaborating with a small, capable software team.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial Laravel/PHP experience.
• Experience owning change control, release management or delivery process.
• Practical application security knowledge.
• Familiar with Git, CI/CD and cloud deployment (AWS preferred).

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain in-house Laravel applications and REST APIs.
• Own release management and change control across products.
• Lead secure development initiatives: coding standards, tooling, threat modelling and vulnerability management.
• Translate requests from Operations, Finance, kitchens and Marketing into well-sequenced work.
• Be the go-to person for clear, plain-English answers.
