Job description

An established environment team is seeking a Senior Landscape Planner to join one of their offices in Bristol, Cambridge, or Birmingham. The team delivers sustainable, high-quality development services on projects across the UK.

The Role:

Landscape planning plays a key role in project delivery, with strategic landscape analysis informing development principles and helping to shape sustainable design outcomes.

The successful candidate will lead and contribute to a variety of landscape planning workstreams, including Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA), Townscape and Visual Impact Assessments (TVIA), landscape appraisals, and greenbelt/greybelt assessments.

This role involves working on high-profile projects, some of which include planning appeals and engagement with legal professionals. The team is seeking someone with sound technical expertise, a collaborative approach, and a commitment to delivering quality and sustainable outcomes.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • A degree or postgraduate qualification in Landscape Architecture
  • Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI)
  • Proven experience in LVIA, feasibility studies, and landscape planning
  • Strong technical report writing and project delivery skills
  • Experience in sectors such as residential and/or energy development
  • Effective communication, team leadership, and stakeholder engagement abilities
