Senior Landscape Architect — Lead Planning, Design & Delivery

Job summary

Advance TRS is recruiting a Senior Landscape Architect to take ownership of landscape planning, assessment and design across a varied portfolio. You will work with clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects from inception to completion, combining strategic planning with practical, technical design.

The role requires senior experience in both planning and design delivery, Chartered status or progress toward Chartership, and readiness to undertake UK-wide site visits.

Qualifications

• A relevant Landscape Architecture degree and postgraduate qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant professional experience.
• Chartered status or actively working towards Chartership.
• Strong experience across landscape planning and landscape design/technical delivery.
• Excellent knowledge of GLVIA3, landscape assessment and planning policy.
• Experience managing projects, budgets, programmes and deadlines.
• Strong plant knowledge and understanding of landscape construction.
• Excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills.
• Confidence dealing with clients, local authorities and multidisciplinary consultants.
• Willingness to undertake UK-wide site visits.

Responsibilities

• Lead landscape planning, assessment and design projects across multiple stages.
• Prepare LVIA/LVIA inputs and planning documentation.
• Develop landscape proposals, mitigation strategies and detailed designs.
• Produce technical drawings, specifications and construction information.
• Conduct site surveys, inspections, audits and snagging.
• Manage project programmes, budgets, deadlines and deliverables.
• Liaise confidently with clients, planning authorities and contractors.
• Coordinate with arboriculture, ecology, BNG, transport and drainage.
• Review project information to maintain high technical quality.
• Support and mentor junior Landscape Architects.
