Job Title: Recruitment Lead (covering all 13 UK offices) for Wardell Armstrong, a leading Environmental & Engineering Consultancy

Following its recent acquisition by SLR, Wardell Armstrong now forms part of a global environmental and sustainability consultancy with over 100 offices worldwide.

Team / Business Area Overview

Having recently merged with SLR Consulting, Wardell Armstrong is at an exciting growth phase. We are integrating with approximately 100 Landscape Architects from SLR's multidisciplinary team, working on high-profile projects globally. Our collaboration spans environmental, planning, engineering, and sustainability sectors.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced, Chartered Senior Landscape Architect with at least 5 years of UK Landscape Architecture experience to lead projects in Leeds. Responsibilities include client liaison, project management across sectors such as education, healthcare, sports, residential, and public realm. The role offers ownership of projects within a supportive, creative team environment.

Candidate Profile

• Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute with minimum 2 years post-chartership experience
• Proven experience leading landscape design projects across various sectors
• Strong project management skills, including budgeting, resourcing, and contracts
• Experience with LVIA and related assessments
• Ability to delegate and mentor team members
• Creative problem-solving skills
• Technical proficiency from briefing to on-site supervision
• Excellent graphic, hand-drawing, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite skills; REVIT experience is a plus
• Knowledge of SuDS, BNG, and masterplanning
• Strong communication skills and initiative
• Full UK driving license
