Senior Laboratory Technician (Teaching)

Salary on appointment will be £26,338 per annum, with an annual increment up to £29,959 per annum.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Laboratory Technician to join the teaching technical team working in the Faculty of Science.
Working within a busy undergraduate laboratory in the Faculty of Science, the focus of the post will centre on provision for the School of Chemistry, Pharmacy and Pharmacology. You will be part of a team of technicians responsible for all aspects of technical support for the laboratory to necessitate the smooth running of undergraduate sessions and high level of service.
Key duties of the role include:
You will have proven experience of working in a laboratory environment and must possess a thorough understanding of laboratory safety issues and good laboratory practice. You must have a minimum of 3 A Level passes (or equivalent qualification) to include a Science subject; or one of the following in a relevant field: Honours Degree, recognised apprenticeship, BTEC Certificate or Diploma, HNC or HND.
This full-time post is available on an indefinite basis and will be campus based.
UEA offers a variety of flexible working options and although this role is advertised on a full-time basis, we encourage applications from individuals who would prefer a flexible working pattern including annualised hours, compressed working hours, part time, job share and/or term-time only. Details of preferred hours should be stated in the personal statement and will be discussed further at interview.
