About the role

In the Graphics and Packaging team, we design and develop customer-facing graphics and packaging solutions for all Dyson products to deliver a great out-of-box experience. As part of a matrix R&D organization and within the Design Engineering function, Graphics and Packaging is a large-scale team focused on the design and development of product color, graphics, literature, and packaging.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the packaging lab, ensuring a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
• Perform regular maintenance and calibration of lab equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
• Produce high-quality packaging samples for testing and validation purposes.
• Prepare test units for packaging validation, ensuring they meet the required specifications.
• Manage and support the Dyson Part Approval Process (DPAP) by coordinating with cross-functional teams and ensuring all packaging components meet required specifications.
• Maintain accurate records of lab activities and prototyping activities.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in lab management and prototyping.

About you

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a packaging lab or related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in lab equipment and packaging prototyping skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of packaging regulations and standards (e.g., ISTA, ASTM, ISO) is a plus.
