Job summary

IQVIA’s Cambridge site is seeking a Senior Technical Specialist to lead automated sample management workflows. This role blends hands-on laboratory work with technical leadership, automation development and continuous improvement within a dynamic team.

You will design and optimise automated methods, troubleshoot challenges, mentor colleagues and collaborate across scientists, engineers and vendors to deliver innovative solutions that advance drug discovery capabilities.

Qualifications

• Significant laboratory experience in sample management or automation.
• Experience developing, optimizing and troubleshooting workflows in a laboratory setting.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and willingness to share knowledge with others.
• Ability to mentor, coach and support colleagues’ development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise automated liquid and sample handling methods.
