Job summary

PrideGlobal is seeking a senior Kotlin engineer in London to join a front-office engineering team building a cloud-based issuance platform. This hybrid role involves three days in the office and extensive XP practices, mob programming, and maintaining high code quality.

The engineer will work across development, integration, and production support, contributing to scalable, reliable services in a regulated enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience building backend services in Kotlin.
• Experience with event-sourced and event-driven architecture.
• Deep XP practices experience: mob programming, test-first development, continuous refactoring.
• Cloud experience in CARE Cloud / GCP, including GKE and Cloud Run, Artifact Registry, Cloud Logging.
• CI/CD/SDLC experience in regulated/enterprise environments.
• Comfortable working in production systems with high availability and correctness requirements.

London/Hybrid (3 days in office)

Company requires a senior, experienced Kotlin engineer to support and extend a cloud‑hosted platform used for bookbuilding issuances across. These roles will join a high‑calibre London front‑office engineering team building a new issuance platform to replace a legacy bookbuilder.

This is a hands‑on engineering role with strong emphasis on Extreme Programming (XP) practices, including mob programming, test‑first development, and continuous refactoring. Engineers are expected to contribute across development, integration, and production support, working closely as a team to maintain a high standard of code quality and system reliability.

• Strong commercial experience building backend services in Kotlin
• Experienced with event‑sourced and event‑driven architecture
• Deep experience with XP practices, including:
• Mob programming as a primary way of working
• Continuous refactoring and clean code discipline
• Cloud experience in CARE Cloud / GCP, including:
• GKE and / or Cloud Run
• Artifact Registry, Cloud Logging

Key Management

• CI/CD and SDLC experience in a regulated / enterprise environment
• Comfortable working in production systems with high availability and correctness requirements

Engineers in this role:
