Job summary

Harvey Nash in Birmingham is seeking a Senior Kotlin Developer to join a digital consultancy delivering cloud-native backend solutions for large-scale organisations across the UK.

You will design, build, and maintain scalable systems in Agile teams, with strong AWS expertise and a 2-days-per-week onsite hybrid work model in Birmingham. The role offers progression, learning support and exposure to complex projects.

Qualifications

Due to continued growth and a significant pipeline of projects, we're looking to recruit experienced Senior Kotlin Developers to join a highly collaborative engineering team.

The Role

As a Senior Kotlin Developer, you'll play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable backend systems within agile, multidisciplinary teams.

You will:

• Develop high-quality backend applications using Kotlin
• Design and build scalable, cloud-native solutions within AWS
• Work closely with engineers, architects, product managers and delivery teams
• Champion engineering best practices, testing, and code quality
• Contribute to technical discussions and solution design
• Support and mentor other developers within the team

Requirements

• Proven backend/software engineering experience (non-mobile)
• Hands-on commercial experience working with AWS (essential)
