Job summary

Anson McCade is seeking a Senior Full Stack Kotlin Developer to help deliver complex, user-centred digital services across the public and private sectors.

You will work within multidisciplinary teams across engineering, product, design, data and delivery, taking ownership of technical solutions while supporting and mentoring other engineers.

Qualifications

• Kotlin and JVM development experience in a commercial setting.
• Experience with Spring Boot and the Spring Framework.
• Proficiency in designing microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with containerization and CI/CD tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop secure, scalable software solutions using Kotlin and Java.
• Build backend services using Spring Boot and the wider Spring Framework.
• Develop microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Take ownership of development and deployment pipelines.
• Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to solve complex technical problems.
• Mentor junior developers and maintain engineering standards.

Location: UK Wide - Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, London, Bristol or Glasgow

Salary: Up to £70k

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop secure, scalable software solutions using Kotlin and Java
• Build backend services using Spring Boot and the wider Spring Framework
• Develop microservices and RESTful APIs
• Take ownership of development and deployment pipelines
• Work with clients and internal stakeholders to solve complex technical problems
• Maintain engineering standards and mentor junior developers

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Strong commercial experience with Kotlin and the JVM
