Job summary

Inara in Leeds is seeking a Senior Android Engineer with strong Kotlin expertise to drive complex digital projects. You’ll work directly with clients, influence technical decisions, and help shape robust solutions for offline and high-latency environments.

You’ll develop across Android and desktop, collaborate on architecture and CI/CD, and mentor peers to raise engineering standards, all within a hybrid Leeds setup.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with Kotlin and Android development.
• Hands-on Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) experience.
• Experience with Compose Multiplatform and Android/desktop apps.
• Experience delivering across Android and desktop platforms.
• Ability to share business logic across platforms while tailoring implementations.

Responsibilities

• Build high-quality Kotlin-based Android apps with a focus on reliability in offline/high-latency environments.
• Develop using Kotlin Multiplatform and Compose Multiplatform to share solutions across platforms.
• Design and contribute to architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and testing strategies.
• Engage with clients to understand requirements and explain technical decisions.
• Mentor engineers and raise technical standards within the team.
