Job summary

Randstad Digital is seeking a Senior KDB+/q Developer to join a leading financial institution in London. You will design and support post-trade risk and margining systems within the Prime Brokerage domain.

Requires 10+ years hands-on KDB+/q experience with Tickerplant, RDB, and HDB architectures, plus strong integration with Java, Python, and Kafka. Prior experience in post-trade risk and production reliability is essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on experience designing and optimizing KDB+/q architectures such as Tickerplant, RDB, and HDB.
• Strong ability to integrate KDB+ platforms with Java, Python, and event-driven messaging systems like Apache Kafka.
• Solid working knowledge of Prime Brokerage, Securities Lending, Financing, or Post-Trade Risk.
• Proven track record in production reliability, L3 support, live data troubleshooting and data quality controls.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize KDB+/q based post-trade risk and margining systems.
• Integrate KDB+ components with Java, Python, and Kafka-based pipelines.
• Provide ongoing L3 support and ensure reliability of live data feeds.
