Job summary

Darwin Recruitment is seeking a Senior KDB+/q Engineer for a London-based project with a leading Capital Markets client. The role is a 6-month freelance engagement with Outside IR35 and hybrid onsite work (London).

You will own end-to-end delivery of production KDB+/q platforms and collaborate with client teams to drive impact from day one. The ideal candidate has 7+ years of hands-on KDB+/q experience, strong Unix/Linux and scripting skills, and a proven track record designing and scaling

• 7+ years of hands-on KDB+/q engineering in production environments.
• Solid core KDB fundamentals with proven engineering delivery.
• Experience designing, building and scaling KDB architectures in production.
• Experience in investment banks, capital markets or hedge funds.
• Strong Unix/Linux and scripting skills.
• Ability to work independently and own end-to-end deliverables.
• Confident communicator with experience collaborating with client teams.

Project focus
