Currently supporting a highly established FinTech Company who are looking for a number of Senior Kafka Platform Engineers to join their team.

This client offers a dynamic start-up vibe, backed by resources of a major scale-up.

• Job Titles: Senior Kafka Platform Engineer
• Salary: Up to £110,000
• Location: London (3 Days Onsite)

What You'll Do:

• Own Kafka clusters, including deployment, scaling, and maintenance in Kubernetes.
• Implement and manage Kafka Connectors and MirrorMaker2 for data integration.
• Automate Kafka lifecycle processes for efficiency and reliability.
• Enforce Kafka security, including SSL, SASL, and ACLs.
• Monitor system health and troubleshoot Kafka issues to ensure performance and data integrity.
• Contribute to the development of our internal platform.
• Support development teams with Kafka-related needs.
• Assist with Kubernetes platform maintenance and onboarding (up to one day a week).

What You Bring:

• Proven experience managing Kafka in production, high-throughput environments.
• Deep knowledge of MirrorMaker2 and Kafka Connectors.
• Experience with Kubernetes operators and CRDs, especially Strimzi.
• Strong understanding of Kafka security and replication mechanisms.
• Expertise in Kafka performance tuning, latency reduction, and JVM optimization.
