Senior Java Software Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to join our dynamic Application Development team. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering cutting-edge software solutions for both internal and customer-facing projects. You will be involved in the full software development lifecycle—from design and coding to testing and deployment—while ensuring adherence to best practices and technical standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide technical expertise and guidance on Java, React, REST APIs, and Oracle PL/SQL.
2. Work collaboratively in Agile/Scrum teams, participating in sprint planning and development rituals.
3. Design, develop, and implement high-quality applications in line with business needs.
4. Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code using JUnit, Mockito, and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
5. Support development planning and contribute to resource management.
6. Mentor junior developers, sharing knowledge and best practices.
7. Engage with customers and stakeholders to deliver technical solutions that align with business objectives.
8. Ensure software development adheres to architectural standards, security policies, and compliance requirements.

Skills & Experience Required

1. Hands-on experience with React or similar front-end frameworks.
2. Good knowledge of REST APIs, Spring 3, and Oracle PL/SQL.
3. Experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum, sprint planning, and continuous integration.
4. Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), Linux/bash scripting, and modern software architectures (SOA, CBD) is highly desirable.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills with a systems-thinking approach.
6. Ability to communicate complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
