Talent Consulting is seeking multiple Java Developers to join a high-profile government organisation on an exciting new programme of work.

You’ll be part of a collaborative team working on modern, large-scale services that make a real difference.

We are looking for Java developers who can:

  • Transform business requirements into production-ready code
  • Ensure system robustness, resilience, and stability
  • Develop and maintain a fit-for-purpose automated test suite
  • Produce comprehensive technical documentation for wider consumption
  • Contribute to the design of larger systems as part of a team
  • Collaborate across teams, working with Lead Engineers and Technical Architects to explore technical solutions
  • Review specifications with colleagues and apply agreed standards and tools to design, code, test, correct and document programmes of medium to high complexity

As a Java Developer you will have the following experience:

  • Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices
  • Hands-on experience with functional and non-functional testing
  • Skilled in developing and maintaining automated test suites
  • Experience with Java (11/17/21) and the Spring Boot framework
  • Knowledge of microservice architecture and API design principles
  • Understanding of TDD and BDD principles
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI desirable)
  • Familiarity with Docker and containerisation (Kubernetes/EKS desirable)
  • Ability to work in Agile delivery environments
