Senior Core Java Developer - Up to £120k DOE - Hybrid (London)

Our client is a highly trusted player in asset management and FX trading, looking to recruit a proficient Senior/Core Java Developer to join their apps team. This opportunity will allow you to join a company that is committed to economic growth in a sustainable way, striving to become the leading hub for sustainable and transition financing and trading.

Within this role, you would be building microservices, designing and building various components of the FX trading platform and its APIS as well as working closely with both the Product and Design team.

Role Responsibilities:

1. Lead a small team of engineers, providing technical guidance and encouraging best practices. Generate and update project documentation across multiple platforms.
2. Spend time understanding existing systems, current tech stack, product offerings and the team’s workflows.️
3. Work primarily within GCP, ensuring that the architecture is optimized for multi-cloud compatibility.

Key Requirements:

1. An experienced engineer with 7-8 years of experience.
2. Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Core Java.
3. You understand which networking tools are relevant to cloud infrastructure and microservices, have a good knowledge of Kubernetes and web-sockets.
4. Experience in AWS, GCP or Azure is a bonus. Ability to work closely with Product and Design teams to deliver solutions to client requirements.
