Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in London is seeking a Java Lead eSoftware Engineer for Equities Algo Trading at VP level to drive the design and delivery of the firm's market-leading execution platform, collaborating with quants, traders and technologists.

You will tackle low-latency, real-time systems, mentor engineers, and shape scalable infrastructure for live markets across global teams, with a focus on performance, reliability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering and advanced Java experience.
• Proficiency in low-latency, real-time, scalable trading systems.
• Experience with high-throughput messaging APIs and middleware.
• Ability to work in a global NA/EMEA/APAC team.
• Experience with algorithmic trading and systematic trading.
• Degree in CS/Engineering/Math or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop algo trading strategies and execution platform
• Design and develop simulation environment and automated testing of strategies and their responses to staged market conditions
• Enhance existing strategies to improve performance by reviewing analytics and evolving models/signals
• Support the desk by deep-diving into specific cases to interpret strategy behavior and address issues
• Develop scalable real-time processing solutions using agile methodologies
• Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability of software applications and systems
