Job summary

Oxenbury Partners Limited seeks a Senior Software Engineer with deep Java and TDD experience to join an engineering initiative at a major investment bank. The role focuses on releasing software more frequently and safely by improving applications and processes that slow delivery.

You will perform hands-on coding within large, established systems and contribute to CI/CD enhancements. Hybrid work is required with three days per week in Canary Wharf, London.

Qualifications

• Several years of hands-on TDD and strong JVM-based software engineering skills.
• Experience improving CI/CD on substantial projects.
• Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift, Linux, build tools (Gradle or Maven) and secure coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Build automated test suites that run locally and in deployment pipelines.
• Containerise applications and improve integration tests.
• Introduce continuous delivery and better source control practices.
• Upgrade Java runtimes, libraries and dependencies.
• Automate deployments and improve observability.
• Help teams resolve security vulnerabilities quickly.
