Job summary

ARC IT Recruitment is seeking a Senior Java Developer for a HealthTech/Tech-for-Good business. You will design, develop and maintain features on a live SaaS platform, using Java, Spring Boot and AWS, in a remote role.

You will collaborate with product and clinical teams, write tests, and participate in code reviews, mentoring junior developers. Requires 5+ years of commercial software development with advanced Java, SQL and cloud architecture experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years commercial software development experience.
• Strong Java (Advanced), Spring Boot.
• Cloud experience, ideally AWS.
• PostgreSQL/SQL proficiency and data modeling.
• Security best-practice knowledge and secure coding.
• Experience in code reviews, QA processes, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software features using Java, AWS and PostgreSQL.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code.
• Participate in code reviews and QA processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve client-reported issues.
• Contribute to technical documentation and API specs.
• Mentor junior team members and work with product/clinical teams.
