Job summary

Morson Edge (Financial Services) is seeking a Lead Java Engineer to drive low-latency, high-throughput Front Office trading systems for a global Investment Bank. The role sits on the Fixed Income Technology Platform as part of a major replatforming and modernisation programme supporting Emerging Markets & Repos.

You will shape future-state architecture, guide development approaches, and liaise between engineering and business stakeholders to deliver real-time capabilities.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on Core Java with deep knowledge of multithreading, concurrency, garbage collection, caching.
• Experience with LMAX Disruptor, Aeron, Solace or Kafka to achieve low latency.
• Understanding of cloud-based engineering and componentised/microservices architecture.
• Background in Front Office Development and ability to confidently face off to business users/stakeholders.
