Job summary

TD Securities is seeking a Senior Java Engineer for the Compliance & Supervision Technology group in Belfast. You will lead engineering efforts across regulatory technology initiatives, driving end-to-end delivery of scalable, secure solutions with API-first and microservice architectures.

You will collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Data, and Business stakeholders to ensure regulator-ready capabilities, while mentoring teams and upholding engineering standards in a fast-paced financial services

Qualifications

• 8+ years of technology delivery and software engineering experience.
• 3+ years leading engineering teams in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Minimum bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Engineering Leadership: lead a high-performing engineering team, establish standards, ensure quality and operational stability, mentor junior developers.
• Technology Delivery: own end-to-end delivery of strategic Compliance and Supervision technology initiatives, collaborate across product, architecture, infrastructure, security, and vendors.
• Architecture & Solution Design: provide oversight for distributed systems, API-first, event-driven, microservices, cloud-native architectures, and secure data integration.
• Regulatory & Control Alignment: ensure solutions support regulatory obligations, auditability, monitoring, and control assessments.
