Job summary

Anson McCade Pty is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a UK-based technology consultancy on hybrid, permanent basis. The role focuses on delivering full-stack solutions using Java, TypeScript/JavaScript and React, within Agile delivery teams working for central government and high-profile clients.

The successful candidate will own significant portions of the software lifecycle, build robust CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate closely with customers and stakeholders while applying best

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with Java, TypeScript/JavaScript, React.
• Experience in AWS and/or Azure cloud environments.
• Proficient in Agile software development practices.
• Experience building modern CI/CD pipelines, especially GitLab.

Responsibilities

• Full-stack development using Java and TypeScript/JavaScript with React.
• Designing, developing and testing high-quality software.
• Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitLab.
• Working with AWS and Azure cloud environments.
• Contributing across the full software lifecycle from requirements to deployment and support.

Senior Software Engineer | Java | React | AWS/Azure
Hybrid | Permanent

I'm currently working with a leading UK technology and software consultancy that is looking to add an experienced Senior Software Engineer to one of their Central Government delivery teams.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Full Stack Engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems, working with modern technologies, and having genuine ownership across the software development lifecycle.

The Role:

You'll join an Agile engineering team delivering bespoke software solutions for high-profile customers, working across areas including:

• Full-stack software development using Java, TypeScript/JavaScript and React
• Designing, developing and testing high-quality software
• Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, with tools such as GitLab
• Working with AWS and Azure cloud environments
• Contributing across the full software lifecycle - from requirements and architecture through to deployment and ongoing support
• Working closely with customers and technical stakeholders
• Taking technical leadership responsibility where appropriate to your experience

What They're Looking For

They're particularly interested in speaking with Senior Engineers who have strong commercial experience with:

Security Clearance

Due to the nature of the projects, you'll need to be eligible to obtain UK security clearance.
