Job summary

Ceffu is seeking a skilled backend engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable Java services. You will own backend architecture, optimize performance, and ensure high availability in a distributed system environment.

Collaborate across teams, implement APIs, and participate in the full software lifecycle. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in backend development, strong Spring expertise, and a track record of building robust, secure backends with modern tooling, CI/CD, and cloud-ready

Qualifications

• Proven backend development experience with Java and Spring in scalable systems.
• Strong understanding of distributed architectures, APIs, and data modeling.
• Experience optimizing performance, reliability, and fault tolerance in production.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern devops practices.
• Knowledge of relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and caching (Redis).
• Exposure to microservices, Docker/Kubernetes, and secure RESTful design.
• Experience with messaging queues and event-driven architectures is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, highly available backend services using Java.
• Own backend architecture and optimize system scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Participate in requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and support.
• Build secure, resilient distributed systems for high-concurrency workloads.
• Develop and optimize APIs, database models, and system integrations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Conduct code reviews and drive engineering best practices across the team.
• Monitor production systems, troubleshoot incidents, and identify bottlenecks and risks.
• Lead or contribute to AI engineering capabilities, tooling, and infrastructure.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and share knowledge with the team.
