DCV Technologies is seeking a Senior Java Backend Engineer in the United Kingdom to design, implement, and optimize real-time, low-latency data processing platforms. You will work on enterprise-grade backends, capturing, processing, transforming, and distributing real-time data across systems with a focus on reliability, scalability, and performance.

Applicants should bring 8+ years of Java backend experience, strong Spring Boot and microservices skills, and proven expertise in Kafka, CDC

Qualifications

8+ years backend development with Java.
Experience building ultra-low-latency systems.
Real-time data synchronization across platforms.
Proven Kafka, event streaming, and asynchronous architectures experience.
CDC implementations with Debezium or similar.
Cloud-native development experience.

Responsibilities

Design and develop highly scalable, low-latency, fault-tolerant backend applications using Java.
Build real-time data processing solutions for high-volume transactional systems.
Develop event-driven architectures using messaging and streaming technologies.
Design and implement microservices using Spring Boot.
Profile, tune, and optimize performance.
Develop APIs and backend services with sub-second response times.
Architect distributed systems with high throughput and low latency.
Implement resilient systems with caching and asynchronous processing.
Perform code reviews and root-cause analysis.
