Job summary

Bolton NHS Foundation Trust is hiring a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Intravenous Vascular Access to join our Nurse Led IV access service in Bolton. This Band 7 post offers an exciting opportunity to lead on delivery of IV access care for patients, with a supportive multidisciplinary team.

The role requires ownership of clinical leadership, ongoing professional development, and evidence-based practice, including guidance for staff and patients, audit activities and data reporting.

Qualifications

• Appropriate NMC Registration and current nursing practice.
• Experience in vascular access and ultrasound-guided PICC/midline insertion.
• Ability to lead and communicate across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Promote best practice and provide specialist guidance to staff and patients.
• Administer the audit programme and analyse data.
• Prepare and deliver reports.
• Lead infection prevention and control study at postgraduate level.
• Influence others, prioritise work, and lead the specialist team.
