An educational organization is seeking a Senior IT Technician to support schools in the Didcot area. The role involves providing first- and second-line IT support, assisting with new technologies, and collaborating with IT teams. Ideal candidates will have 1-2 years of experience and knowledge of hardware and software.

Your Opportunity
We are looking to recruit a Senior IT Technician to support our schools in the Didcot area. The successful candidate will benefit from the support of our experienced IT teams located throughout Surrey and Oxfordshire and will build links with the Trust IT team, the Service Delivery Manager, and the Head of Operations.
The candidate will provide first- and second-line support, working with various systems and users with differing skills, and will need to find solutions to issues affecting all aspects of IT. They will assist the school in adopting new technologies and ensuring IT services benefit teaching and learning. This is a site-based role at Aureus School; occasional visits to other GLF schools in the Didcot region may be required. The candidate will also attend IT team training events at the GLF Trust offices (Earlsfield, Banstead) on scheduled dates.
A full UK driving license is beneficial but not mandatory if the candidate can demonstrate the ability to meet travel requirements.
What we are looking for
This role offers varied work, and we seek an intelligent, enthusiastic person who can think creatively to solve issues independently while working effectively with our wider IT and school teams. Ideally, the candidate will have at least 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role, with experience in hardware and software installation, configuration, and deployment. Hours: 36 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
