Senior IT Technician
Location: Selly Oak
Pay: £140–£160 per day
Contract: Full-time, ongoing

The Role:
Balfor Education is seeking a reliable and experienced Senior IT Technician to support a large secondary school’s IT systems. You will take ownership of first- and second-line support, assist in managing network operations, and maintain the school’s hardware, software, and cloud-based systems. You will work closely with the IT Manager to implement improvements and ensure data security, backups, and IT compliance are consistently upheld.

What We’re Looking For:
• Proven experience in IT support, ideally within an educational environment
• Proficiency with Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and hardware troubleshooting
• Knowledge of networking protocols, printers, and classroom AV equipment
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to prioritise tasks and resolve issues efficiently in a busy school setting

Requirements:
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an IT technician or similar role
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• Valid photo ID and up-to-date references
• Immediate or near-immediate availability
• IT-related qualification (Level 3 or above preferred)
