2nd/3rd Line Support, Helpdesk Support, Windows and macOS Systems, Microsoft 365 Administration, Client Support.

The Senior IT Support Engineer Opportunity:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen in our growing technical delivery team for an experienced and motivated IT Support Engineer. After a short onboarding period, this will become a primarily remote role, with just one day per week required in the office or onsite. You will support a diverse client base across Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey, and West London, providing a mix of remote support and project delivery.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a flexible environment, and wants to stay hands-on with a wide range of technologies.

What your day might look like:

  1. Providing 2nd/3rd line support for Microsoft and Apple environments
  2. Managing and deploying Windows and macOS systems, including via MDM (Intune, ABM, etc.)
  3. Delivering infrastructure and cloud projects across server, desktop, and mobile environments
  4. Maintaining excellent relationships with clients through clear communication and proactive support
  5. Escalating and resolving complex issues with internal teams or vendors as required

About you:

  1. 5+ years experience in a client-facing, hands-on IT support role
  2. Friendly, professional, and confident with stakeholders at all levels
  3. Passionate about technology and problem-solving
  4. Full UK driving licence and access to a car
  5. Able and willing to pass an enhanced DBS check
  6. Ideally based in Windsor / East Berkshire or nearby

Technical Skills:

  1. Operating Systems: Windows 10, Windows 11, macOS Ventura/Sonoma
  2. Servers: Windows Server 2016 – 2022
  3. Microsoft 365 Administration (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams)
  4. Intune / Mobile Device Management (Apple, Android, Windows)
  5. Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP
  6. Hyper-V and/or VMware
  7. Firewalls, VPNs, Routing, NAT, VLANs
  8. RMM tools & remote support platforms
  9. Telephony (VoIP platforms like 3CX, Teams Calling)
  10. SonicWall configuration and troubleshooting
  11. Clustered Hypervisors (VMware / Hyper-V)
  12. Network switching and topology
  13. Microsoft SQL Server (basic admin)

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Microsoft Certified (MCP, MCSA, or equivalent)
  2. SonicWall SNSA/CSSP
  3. Degree or equivalent practical experience
