About the Role

The Senior Supplier Relationship Manager is a critical role within the Technology Supplier Management team and is responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle management of multiple tier 1 strategic and critical 3rd party contracts. You will ensure alignment to our Technology goals and objectives. The role reports to the Head of Contract and Supplier Management and will develop and work within a team dedicated to providing a centre of excellence in contract, commercial and relationship management.

In this role you will...

  1. Be responsible for relationship and contract management of strategic and critical suppliers, in-line with best practice and in accordance with our Technology Supplier Management Policy
  2. Support and develop supplier management strategy for suppliers in scope, in line with the RMG Technology sourcing strategy to deliver tangible benefits and value
  3. Apply appropriate contractual and commercial management skills, tools and techniques in order to ensure the effectiveness of supplier contracts to meet and exceed contractual obligations, deliver value and minimise risk
  4. Be responsible for leading and managing complex negotiations for multimillion pound agreements
  5. Act as an escalation point for Supplier related issues and own dispute resolution
  6. Produce Executive level supplier performance reporting to inform decision making
  7. Work closely with senior leaders across Technology, Business, Finance, Legal and Procurement to build, develop and govern supplier relationships
  8. Take personal responsibility and accountability for suppliers within scope, acting as a subject matter authority and role model

Skills and Experience

  1. Full contract and commercial life-cycle contract and commercial management experience in Technology for large scale (£10m+) and complex strategic critical supplier relationships and contracts
  2. Experience in managing tier 1 / critical supplier relationships in a large complex environment
  3. In-depth knowledge of contract across one or more of the following technology categories; Application Development and Maintenance, Cloud and Hosting, Network, Telecoms and Workplace, End User Compute, IT Service Desk or Application & Software Development
  4. Ability to analyse, clearly understand and enforce contractual obligations, whilst balancing the need to maintain and grow a strong and value add to supplier relationships
  5. Strong track record of driving tangible commercial benefits within the contract life-cycle
  6. Development and management of multiple strategic and critical supplier contracts and relationships
