Job summary

Hawksworth are recruiting an experienced Senior IT Release Manager to join a leading global insurance organisation. This role owns release governance, planning and coordination across a complex, enterprise-scale IT environment. Location: Guildford, Bournemouth or Birmingham (Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week).

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in a dedicated IT Release Manager role, within large corporate environments.
• Strong practical experience using ServiceNow for ITSM, change and release processes.
• Experience working within multi-vendor environments, coordinating releases across internal teams and external suppliers.
• Strong understanding of ITIL frameworks, processes and best practices, ideally with ITIL v4 certification.
• Proven experience managing release governance, risk, dependencies, CAB approvals, release readiness and Go/No-Go decisions.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills across technical teams, business stakeholders and third-party suppliers.
• Experience managing releases within modern Agile and DevOps delivery environments.

This is an excellent opportunity for an established Release Management professional to take ownership of release governance, planning and coordination across a complex, enterprise-scale IT environment.

Location: Guildford, Bournemouth or Birmingham (Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week)

Key Skills & Experience Required:

• Release Management: Extensive experience in a dedicated IT Release Manager role, within large corporate environments.
• ServiceNow: Strong practical experience using ServiceNow for ITSM, change and release processes.
