Job summary

WestSpring IT Ltd. is seeking a Senior Project Consultant for a hybrid role based in Bristol, working across our office, client sites and from home.

You will own a varied portfolio of IT projects, coordinating teams and ensuring clean handovers from discovery through to early-life support. You will lead workshops, translate requirements into deliverable scopes, support pre-sales activities, and manage multiple projects with a focus on Microsoft 365, Azure, networking and security.

Qualifications

• Three+ years delivering IT projects for business clients, ideally within an MSP or IT consultancy.
• Strong practical knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory, networking, firewalls and endpoint technologies.
• Experience taking projects from discovery and scoping through implementation, documentation and handover.
• Ability to manage several concurrent projects and keep plans, priorities, risks and stakeholders aligned.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the judgement to identify and elevate risks early.
• Clear written and verbal communication, with the confidence to explain technical choices to non-technical clients.
• High standards of documentation and attention to detail.
• Commercial mindset: understand scope, effort, delivery quality, client trust and project margin.
• Full UK driving licence, able to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery conversations and technical workshops to understand client needs, risks and outcomes.
• Translate requirements into a clear, deliverable scope with assumptions, dependencies, resources and timescales.
• Support technical pre-sales with statements of work, solution designs and implementation plans.
• Plan and deliver multiple projects, keeping milestones, risks, changes and budgets visible and controlled.
• Carry out hands-on installation, configuration, migration, upgrade and remediation work remotely and on client sites.
• Coordinate clients, internal consultants, Service Desk, suppliers and third parties on plans and responsibilities.
• Communicate clearly with clients about risks, changes and impact on scope or cost.
• Test and validate solutions, manage cutover activities and early-life support.
• Produce accurate technical, configuration, as-built and handover documentation for support teams.
• Close projects with completion checks, lessons learned and agreed outcomes.
• Identify practical improvements to project delivery and client environments.
