As our Senior Project Manager you will be instrumental in driving IT and cross-functional business initiatives that enhance the growth and operational efficiency of the Water Softener/Delivery sector throughout the UK & Ireland. This pivotal role, reporting directly to the IT Director, will oversee the complete project lifecycle, from initial planning through to execution, with an emphasis on engaging stakeholders, managing risks effectively, and ensuring delivery excellence.
The ideal candidate will also play a vital role as a mentor and leader within our hybrid project team, driving improvements in our project management practices while fostering a culture centered on accountability, structure, and proactive communication.
Project Delivery
- Take charge of and oversee a diverse range of IT and business transformation projects, guaranteeing their delivery on schedule, within established parameters, and aligned with budgetary constraints.
- Create comprehensive project plans that outline the project’s scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource needs.
- Monitor project advancement through the use of suitable systems, tools, and techniques; consistently update senior stakeholders with progress reports.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Inspire and guide team members and coworkers by sharing your expertise in project management best practices, effective governance, and comprehensive reporting.
- Champion the integration of structured project management methodologies (such as PRINCE2, Agile, and PMBOK) throughout the organization.
- Create standardised project reporting frameworks to enhance visibility, improve forecasting, and facilitate seamless communication at the executive level.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the vital link connecting IT with various business units, adeptly translating technical jargon into tangible business results.
- Engage and inspire senior stakeholders across Operations, Customer Service, Logistics, and Sales teams.
- Facilitate change management initiatives to promote seamless transitions and reduce disruptions to business operations.
Process & Governance
- Develop and uphold standardised project management templates, key performance indicators (KPIs), and reporting frameworks.
- Lead project governance by facilitating steering committees, maintaining risk registers, updating RAID logs, and conducting post-implementation evaluations.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement within IT and business project execution.
Please note - This role will potentially require travel to our Culligan business locations in the UK & Ireland.
Requirements
- At minimum of 7 years experience in project management, particularly in IT and cross-functional business initiatives.
- Demonstrable history of successfully delivering complex projects across multiple sites or in geographically spread-out settings.
- A solid grasp of project management methodologies and tools.
- Experience thriving in environments with a mix of experienced team members.
- Outstanding leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, Confluence, Monday.com, or other similar platforms.
- Previous experience in utilities, logistics, or service delivery sectors.
- Formal PM qualifications (e.g. PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP, Agile/Scrum certifications)
- Experience with digital transformation, ERP implementations, or CRM system deployments.
